Campo Viejo is committed to reduce its carbon footprint by implementing initiatives such as reducing the bottle-weight which has resulted in 30% less carbon emissions, careful water management (average water used to produce a single bottle of Campo Viejo is 0.80L as compared to the Spanish average of 2.25L) and protecting the biodiversity amongst other projects.

Grapes are fermented in vats at a controlled temperature of around 25ºC. Maceration with skins for approximately 12 days to deliver the colour of the wine. The wine then spends 4 months in French oak barrels before rounding off its ageing in the bottle.
