not low carbs
This is described as low carb chocolate but has the same carbs as normal dark chocolate
Perfect for recipes
This chocolate behaves splendidly when used as an ingredient for recipes: if you are adapting a regular recipe to make it low carb or sugar free, this chocolate allows you to use exactly the amount stated in the recipe - without the faff of re-calculating proportions. I would definitely recommend it!
Oddly sweet
Was very excited to see low-carb dark chocolate, but it doesnt have any of the dark chocolate bitterness youd expect. Its incredibly sweet in a way that got me at the back of the throat. I vowed to never eat it again.
Big Fat nope
Usually get my choc from Holland & Barrett but thought Id give this a go. Just horrible - gritty and tastes like cheap cooking chocolate. Massive disappointment- ate one piece and threw the rest away :(
Low carb treat
This chocolate really does deliver! Its diabetic friendly and a great treat for those with chocolate cravings on a low carb, keto lifestyle. 1 square with a coffee hits the melting in the mouth dark chocolate button!
Not all carbs are the same
This chocolate IS low carb, it contains erythritol and stevia natural plant sweeteners, both are carbs which have no effect on the bodies blood sugars/ insulin response. So the manufacturers claims to 1.2g carbs per 30g portion is correct. It is odd to have sweet dark chcoolate, and those unused to erythritol and stevia may find the mouth cooling effects rather odd. Some people experience a bitter aftertaste - but not all. The only way you are going to find out is to try some! As a low carb treat this is absolutely valuable to me, I prefer real 70% chocolate but it isn't every day that I can afford the higher carb count. The version with hazelnuts is my preferred version, nice crunch.
