Castello® Danish Blue cheese has a fine, nutty, blue mould aroma with hints of marzipan and a soft bitterness of sourdough, making it a favourite for cooking and snacking. This cheese holds a PGI (protected geographical indication) status and can only be produced in Denmark following strictly controlled production methods.

Tangy, strong, flavour punch!

My husband like this as he likes strong, salty blue cheeses. It is sharp and tangy, very strong and salty. Nice crumbly texture. He likes it on toast and believe it or not, adds Marmite which is very salty! A good strong flavoursome punchy blue cheese.

Ok, not great

Its creamy but a bit too sharp. Its ok but its not cheap and there are better blue cheeses out there.

Perfect for the cheeseboard

A very delightful texture and taste. Placed this on my cheeseboard and it was one of the biggest hits for my guests. The fragrance wasn't too much, the texture when it was eaten was smooth on the tongue and then the taste was perfect with crackers. A definite yes to any cheeseboard.

Strong flavour

I liked this cheese as it's very strong so you don't need to use much. The container with lid is also useful for keeping it fresh

I like this blue cheese, i always but it for special occasions as a treat. Tangy ans crubly, perfect yo serve with crackers

Quite a unique cheese with its distinctly tangy flavour, great with crackers or rye bread, a real favourite.
