Tasting Notes
With the exceptional weather of 2010 in the Bergerac region, the Merlot, which is the main grape variety in this Château Mautain, expresses its qualities particularly well. It offers a lovely ruby colour with shades of violet, and a fruity and persistent nose with delicious blackcurrant and blackberry jam aromas. Then, on the palate the wine is full and well-balanced, and reveals delicate notes of red berries.

Undrinkable!
Harsh and sour! wouldn't cook with it either, so down the drain it went! (2021 vintage)

horrid
Bought 6 bottles. Tried all of them and ended pouring them all down the drain. Absolutely horrible.

Cork stuck in bottle
This is a lovely wine however the last 5 bottles, all from different orders, have been ridiculously hard to open. The cork has been stuck and broke off when opening. Bits of cork then make it into the glass. Disappointing

I was disappointed
Maybe I'm too used to hefty new world wines but this seemed a bit thin and bordered on being, for me, a bit sharp. BTW bottle received was 2019, 13.5% not 14 still strong for French tho
