Poor quality chopped tomatoes
These tinned tomatoes are some of the worst I have ever had. They don't taste of tomatoes, they are too acidic and they are not "polpa" - more like roughly chopped and watery.
essential store cupboard addition
Tinned tomatoes are a staple ingredient in our weekly shop. Due to work hours, I don't get home till 6pm. I like to cook a healthy wholesome meal, so it's usually pasta, tinned tomatoes with veg, or a basic bolognaise , which can be spiced up to make a chilli. I've tried most brands, and shops own, but none are as tasty to me as Cirio. It's a great variety of tomato, and doesn't need additional flavouring as the natural flavour is strong. Other cheaper varieties, I've found need addition of puree. Cirio also really taste amazing with a Full Breakfast.
Great tin toms
We aways use these for most of our tomato based dishes. We also blend to make pasatta sauce, Or add carrots, celery, and onion for a delicious tomato soup.
So many skins
Says on the tin they take the skins out - but they don't. Takes about 10 minutes fishing them out wgile cooking and defeats the point of using chopped. They're bad. I won't buy these again.
perfect
perfect for all homemade sauce's
tasteless & watery
This product has become very poor over past few months. Very firm, square chunks that don't break down in the pan & very watery. No flavour. guess this is why they are so cheap. Shame.
