Clearblue Rapid Detection Pregnancy Test can give you a ‘Pregnant’ result as fast as 1 minute when testing from the day of your missed period. You should wait 3 minutes to confirm a ‘Not Pregnant’ result. It is designed to be the easiest to use home pregnancy test, with an extra wide colour-changing tip and ergonomic curved handle. With the accuracy you expect from Clearblue, this home pregnancy test kit is over 99% accurate from the day you expect your period. In a UK study, over 9 in 10 women said they would pay more for Clearblue Rapid Detection than a strip test (based on 111 women using and reading different test types).

Preparation and Usage
Our Clearblue Rapid Detection Pregnancy Test carton is made from 95% recycled board, and its leaflet from 100% recycled paper. The carton and leaflet can both be fully recycled when you no longer need them.

Testing Early
Clearblue recommends that you test from the day your period is due. However, the pregnancy hormone increases rapidly in early pregnancy and Clearblue Plus can be used to test up to 4 days before your period is due. In clinical testing with early pregnancy samples Clearblue Plus gave the following results:
Number of days before the period is due: -1, % of samples from pregnant women giving a 'Pregnant' result: 87%
Number of days before the period is due: -2, % of samples from pregnant women giving a 'Pregnant' result: 84%
Number of days before the period is due: -3, % of samples from pregnant women giving a 'Pregnant' result: 74%
Number of days before the period is due: -4, % of samples from pregnant women giving a 'Pregnant' result: 53%
If you test early and get a 'Not Pregnant' result it is possible that the level of pregnancy hormone may not yet be high enough to be detected. You should test again when your period is due.

Easy to use!
I haven't used a pregnancy test for over 15 years but this 51 year old whose family is definitely complete needed a bit of reassurance after missing a pill and using emergency contraception (did two a few weeks apart and both negative)! Pregnancy tests have certainly got more expensive since my day but the design has improved, as has the speed. This seemed very easy to use and very clear in its display and the intructions. I can't comment on its accuracy for positive tests of course, but it does seem like a nice easy one to use, although I hope not to have to again! Good luck to all those trying out there though!
