Love this!

The reviews of this pickled ginger are hilarious - people either love it or absolutely hate it. Im in the love it camp. Fairly thick crunchy slices of delicious salty pickled ginger. If you are looking for the sweet pale ginger provided in little packets with a supermarket sushi tray, this is not it, though.

Delicious

This ginger is dyed a delicate shade of pink with shiso leaves (the dark bits you can find floating in the pickling liquid). Good as a palate cleanser, or topping for rice, noodles, etc. Honestly, I don't get why some are criticising either this or the sweeter version. Both are authentic, delicious, and have their uses.

Fairly awful

Perhaps this is suitable for a more refined palate than mine, but this is horrible tasting and nothing like the pickled ginger you would get with sushi normally. It is overdosed with vinegar.

contains little bits of seaweed too and no artificial sweeteners like other brands! i love all clearspring products

slightly salty but perfect

Much deeper flavour really moreish and perfect for sushi making. Its not too pickled giving a good mellow ginger flavour
