Contea di Castiglione Barolo 75cl
£20.50
£20.50 per 75clProduct information
A warm, richly-flavoured, spicy Barolo made in an approachable style.
Made from the noble grape Nebbiolo, cultivated on the Langhe Hills around the town Barolo in the south of the Piemonte region of northern Italy.
Following three years ageing in large oak casks, the wine develops a light red colour with hints of orange, the nose is complex and spicy, on the palate it is rich, full-bodied with sweet tannins and a dry finish. This Barolo complements game and mature cheeses and is best served at room temperature

very good - 4 stars
Bought for hubby - smooth not too tannic, good flavour. We drink Barolo in Italy and he said its as good but of course over here twice the price!
Great Barolo
I bought this for a dinner party to go with a beef main course. Excellent value and went down very well with my guests. As good as we had on our holiday to Italy!
A perfect Barolo
I genuinely don't think other reviewers have ever had a Barolo before. This is a perfect example of how it should be. Don't order it and expect it to taste like the cheap £5 wine you usually drink if it's not what you are used to! Absolutely delicious, highly recommend.
Worst Barolo ever
Agree with other reviews and wish I had noticed before wasting the money - its never been a Barolo
Disappointed
Barolo is my favourite wine. Imagine my disappointment on opening it to find that whatever was in the bottle was not what I would call a Barolo. Pale, tasteless and had me reaching for a £4.99 bottle of plonk from Aldi. Wish I had read the reviews before buying especially for £20.
Awful!
Ive never poured a bottle of wine away before but this was the first. Perhaps it was corked, but it was terrible, and Ill drink bad wine!
