Too soft, too expensive
I love palm hearts make a fantastic velvety, indulgent soup, slow cooked with diced spring onion, thyme and the heel of a parmesan and theyre difficult to get hold of suddenly. And have had a price whack. Tried this brand when my usual had disparu and was so disappointed. The tin was very light in quantity: theyre usually packed in. And more importantly the quality was not good. Plus even for palm hearts here, they were really expensive. Palm hearts are fantastic. Nutritious, impressive, delicious, so please dont be put off by this brand.
love these
Great flavour but slightly too expensive
Mushy
No texture, very mushy, couldn't slice as they fell apart so easily. Won't buy again.
Mushy
I found these too soft and mushy - I prefer the Green Giant ones.
Useful vegan pantry staple
Some other reviews mention these are tough, but I've never found them unpleasant. Hearts of palm have a slightly artichoke-like flavour and the texture of cooked asparagus. They're delicious in a salad with a lemony dressing or a hollandaise stye sauce, and are delicious battered/crumbed and fried like calamari (in rings) or slices as a fish goujon alternative.
Not tasty
Doesn’t taste great - not as good as the green giant ones
