Love this but bring back the old bottle!
I have been having Crabbies ginger wine since I was 4 years old (I was allowed a thimble sized taste). It is still my favourite tipple over 40 years later. I love it neat in the winter or when I'm going down with a cold or topped up with cold lemonade in the summer. My only gripe is that there bottle has changed from a screw lid to a 'traditional' style with a small handle and a cork. I find it very awkward to hold now and I can't twist it to stop it dribbling down the side making my fingers sticky the next time I open it. Please bring back the old screw cap bottle!
So much better than Stones
Had a bottle of each over Christmas. Stones was watery and bland. This is richer and more syrupy with a kick.
Lovely
I've haven't seen Crabbie's to buy for a long time, and I fancied a Christmas treat !! I've just had to order another bottle for next week as the bottle that was delivered was so cute (not like the picture, it has a handle to the side, and a cork in the top), I just had to see if it had changed like other reviewers stated. It didn't disappoint. The wine itself wasn't as "thick" as I remember it, it used to have a definite "glug" as it was poured, but the taste was as I remember it, and it goes so well with whisky in a Whisky Mac. I'm gonna have to get husband to hide next weeks bottle because its definitely moreish.... well, for me anyway, lol !!!.
it's so much better than ANY other

Tastes more of chilli than ginger
Hmm...changed recipe?
Crabbies has always been a favourite Christmas tipple in my family. Bought three bottles for Christmas last week and decided to open one for a taste test (as you do). The initial taste is true Crabbies - fresh and fiery, but once swallowed there is a sickly aftertaste as though your mouth has been coated in sugar. 'Disappointed' doesn't even cover it. However, it is still head and shoulders above the other leading brand or any supermarket own-brands, hence the three stars. I can only hope they produce a version that is as fiery as the original at some point in the very near future.
