Crazy Jack Organic Dried Apricots 250g

Our apricots are grown in the Euphrates valley, near Malatya in Turkey, on one of the first organic farming projects we got involved with, so we've got a real soft spot for them. Dried in the traditional way under the hot sun, without using any nasty Sulphur dioxide as a preservative, they have a rich, intense flavour and a lovely naturally dark colour.
Delicious as a snack, cereal topping or baking ingredient, they require no pre-soaking and can be added to meals for extra "can I have some more please"!

Great snack food.
Soft but not to soft, fruity and not to Sweet. Lovely healthy snack. Going to be a regular in my basket.
Hard and nasty
Got these as a substitution as my usual ones were not available. If it happens again, these will be sent straight back. They were hard and nasty. Yuk!
Used to be much better
I have been buying these for 4 or 5 years. About a year ago they started to get progressively moist and now are almost double their previous size. This makes them sticky and far too sweet. Obviously, not allowing them to dry sufficiently, is very convenient as they sell less apricots for more money.
Just enough softness and sweetness
Used these in a dried fruit compote, soaked in water for 2 days. They held their shape really well, and still had a bit of bite to them, and a lovely flavour.
YUM
These are delicious! Great in tagines or just on their own, and its fab that theyre organic and sulphur-free. I love crazy Jack, I just wish they did larger pack sizes, or non-plastic packaging, or both.
Absolutely gorgeous and no sulphites!
These are absolutely gorgeous! They have an exquisite deep, sweet treacle-toffee flavour and a lovely chewy texture - the depth of flavour is glorious. I chop and add them to cereals and porridge with either Biona organic cracked golden linseeds or Raw Health organic chia seeds, then top with berries and organic maple syrup - divine! Plus, they are organic with no sulphites which gives them a lovely dark natural colour - perfect! Another winner from Crazy Jack!
