On our farm in Staffordshire we have:- 

- our own parent flock, where we produce our organic eggs, 

- our own hatchery where our chicks are born, 

- Rearing sheds /fields where they live for 61-70 days 

- a state of the art abattoir where we process and pack our chicken.  

This means that Daylesford owns the whole story.

Great chicken

Great quality chicken. Really good size. Bought on a flash sale so pleased with purchase. Too expensive though if full price.

Whilst daylesford is usually great quality -the chicken was very tough and took so long to cook !

Grey before sell by

This was grey 3 days before sell by. Not good. Will stick to the Oakham breasts which although not organic are consistently good.

So convenient to have a pack of four, and they taste juicy and tender when poached.

tender and delicious

I sometimes find free range and organic chicken can be tough but this was so tender and mild and delicious in flavour. Very fresh too.
