Very nice if discounted.
Tasty pate. It does have a good slug of port in it, but not unbalanced to me, and I like the flavour and texture. Bought on flash sale at £4.95 and enjoyed it, but not enough to pay the full current price of £8.25.
Not nice flavour
I just wanted a nice chicken liver pate and have not noticed its actually made with port. unfortunately port is overwhelming and kills the flavour of chicken liver. it is quite bitter and therefore inedible for me.
Almost as good as home\-made
I don't understand the comments about it tasting too strongly of alcohol - but then again I add brandy when making pate. The only downside for me is the cost - part of which undoubtedly covers the fancy packaging. I was lucky enough to have bought this in a flash sale, but if you're not concerned about the regular price then I highly recommend this as it's delicious and contains excellent ingredients.
Port is overwhelming
I thought the port would be a nice addition but its too heavily done and ruins the flavour.
delicious and low on additives
If youre looking for an organic pate without all the added rubbish, this is great. Tastes great.
Too strong port flavour
This is a really good quality pate but unfortunately far too heavy on the port. It just overwhelms the flavour of the pate so all I can taste is the port. Probably great on tiny little canapés but not to actually eat as a pate. Shame, I think it would be great if the port flavour wasnt so strong.
