Roast for 30 minutes per 500g, plus a further 30 minutes, until the pork is cooked through with no pink meat, and the juices run clear. Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Tasty, but..
..not the joint I was expecting (not the joint in the picture) and hardly any fat, so I had to completely change the recipe I had planned. Sure not the end of the world but a bit annoying. However, the end result was very tasty and succulent, and plenty for two meals. Yes, expensive, but I don't mind that if I get a good piece of meat.
Nice pork, flavourful
yes this is expensive but as is all organic food. I found the flavour very nice, delicate and delicious
Tasty and juicy.
Purchased in the flash sale. Tasty and juicy roast , fat was thick so I trimmed it off whist the pork was resting and put it in the air fryer for lovely crackling.
Delicious for pulled pork
Got in a flash sale. Narrow, thick wedge of skin on top, not ideal for crackling. Pressure cooked the lot with apple juice, herbs and spices, discarded the skin, pulled apart the meat and finished under the grill with the juice stirred back in. Absolutely beautiful quality meat.
Nothing like the picture.
Bought this as a treat. Rolled joint of mainly the darker meat. Difficult to carve after the first few slices came off like butter. Gave up. We had a tiny slice and a half each on the plate as the rest was sinewy and impossible to carve. Hardly any crackling. 3 squares about 1 inch x 1 inch placed on the top and tied. Better off getting the shops cheaper joint. At least that would be edible.
Delicious
Followed the BBC good food recipe for slow cooked pork shoulder (slow cooking for 8 hours) and it turned out really delicious. Served with mash and green beans, even my 4 year old cleared his plate. Its expensive, but we had decent leftovers after generously feeding 3 adults and a child.
