One of the better pesto\x27s
One of the tastiest pesto's sold by Ocado, and not the most expensive.
Not what real pesto should be
Compared to the *real* Italian pesto, this one felt flakey and just not the right consistency
Best pesto
this is the best bought pesto I have had
delicious
Delicious with pasta. Good balance of basil and olive oil, with plenty of pine nuts. Yum! Will be buying again.
Very nice
We bought and tried 5 different jarred pestos and this came out as 2nd best (just behind the Waitrose one). Would buy again. Had a real pesto taste, some of the others were quite odd tasting
good flavour but dry texture and very salty
Good flavour but so salty it makes your mouth pucker. A pity. Also needs additional EV olive oil, as comes out very dry, you have to shake it off the spoon in a lump. Perhaps better for brushing on bread rather than on pasta. Being major pesto consumers, our family does an almost annual review of the major ones around, and for the umpteenth time, we vote the ordinary Waitrose green pesto as the best by far, and at £1.35 per 190g, usually around half the price of the others too.
