£1.85 per 100gProduct information
We've developed our chocolate chips so that they keep their form when baked - but still have a deliciously gooey chocolatey taste. Great for kids baking.
Why not try placing the bag in a jug of warm water to melt the chocolate chips, once melted snip to corner of the pack and use to drizzle the chocolate
Suitable for vegetarians
Preparation and Usage
Delicious baked into cookies, muffins and brownies, simply stir into the mix before baking. Chips retain shape when baked.
Chocolate Chips can be melted and added to your favourite recipes or used to cover desserts, cakes and traybakes.
For a quick and easy method to melt Chocolate Chips, place the bag in a jug of hot water until melted. Cut corner of bag to make a small hole and use as a drizzle.
To melt (on the hob), place in a dry heatproof bowl over a pan of hot (not boiling) water and stir until smooth. Take care not to get water into the melting chocolate.
To melt in the microwave (based on 850W) remove Chocolate Chips from packaging and place in a microwave safe bowl and heat on medium (50%) power for 1 minute, then stir well. If required, heat in bursts of 10 seconds (50%) and stir until smooth.
Take care when melting chocolate not to overheat.

Taste like sugar
They don't taste like chocolate at all, just sugar. So they don't add a chocolate flavour to any baked goods, disappointing
great
great for baking with little kids. Like these as the chip size is on the normal side. the others brand tend to have gigantic chips.
Perfect
Absolutely love it. I add it to my homemade cookies, cookie dough, cakes, icecream. The list goes on.
Horrid
Taste cheap and nasty. There's very little chocolate flavour. I would rather buy a bar of quality chocolate and spend a few minutes chopping it into small pieces than use these. Wouldn't even buy them in an emergency (in as far as any baking incident can be classified as an emergency! ).
great for baking with the kids
Perfect for cup cakes. Melt well in the microwave to use as 'glue' for decorations. Or in the sealed package in boiling water as piping (follow the instructions on the back of the package). Great value especially as they don't last long in our house. There are fancier versions on the market for considerably more, but my boys love these.
Not to my taste
taste synthetic. Would rather pay more for better quality or do without.
