This is what it looks like: a well-spiced, sweet hot drink that tastes fairly chai latte-ish. I get why people complain its too sweet, but thats also true of the Starbucks version (as much sugar as a Snickers bar, apparently!) and even authentic ones in Indian restaurants. For me, its a treat loaded with artificial ingredients that I drink sparingly.
First ingredient is sugar?!
This is waaaay too sweet. Why is sugar even an ingredient? Surely we should be able to add sweetener to our own taste? I recommend other people buy Cai teabags that only contain honest natural herbs and spices.
Decent \x27Make at Home\x27 Chai Latte
This is ok, yes you can get better at a coffee shop but for a make-at-home version this is the best I've tried. My tip if you are making it with water is to add a splash of milk also make sure you put in 3 x teaspoons as per the directions.
Hug in a mug!!
Absolutely love this chai latte, wish it would come in bigger packing
Like drinking a dissolved dishwasher tablet
I really liked the sound of this but having had my first cup, I think it will be my last. I mixed 4 teaspoons with hot water and it tasted like a dissolved dishwasher tablet. Really chemical and unpleasant.
Lovely!
Unsure after reading the reviews, but made it with 200ml skimmed milk (no water) and is really lovely -very similar to the one from Costa. Maybe measure out the milk as if you put in too much, it would taste weaker?
