Chickpeas
We just love their nutty flavour and texture; a great favourite in Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Indian cuisine. They can range in colour from white, yellow, golden, brown, dark green or black! In India, the chickpea is referred to as gram, some varieties are milled into a fine pale yellow flour, used to make Onion Bhajias. Chickpeas are also the vital ingredient to falafel and hummus.

Tasty
A very light meal but tasty and healthy
Not keen
I did not like the texture, which was a little rubbery an then soft. The flavour was hit and miss, with some spice, but still bland, somehow.
Bland
I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm trying to eat more heathily, and having seen this in a flash sale thought I'd give it a go for lunch instead of a sandwich. Sadly, I found it to be very bland - a vague hint of cinnamon, but not a lot else. I also found a few chunks of something solid and inedible - possibly apricot stone fragments? Either way, I won't be buying this again. I'll go back to a sandwich for lunch.
Delicious
I had this for the first time this week and really enjoyed it. It made a lovely lunch with nice slice of oaty bread. However I bought it on offer and even then it was pretty expensive - I will probably make some myself and freeze it.
Going downhill
Ive had this many times in the past but the last few times it seems to have gone downhill - or maybe I received bad batches? The apricots seemed to have disappeared and there was a very vinegary taste about it which was off putting. Plus the price keeps creeping up.
Tasty Tagine!
Being a vegetarian, I am usually wary of processed vegetarian meals, having been very disappointed in the past, but due to not being very well, I needed to find some meals I didn't have to cook. Well! I was very pleasantly surprised with this! It was very, very tasty! I was delighted. I had one on its own, but another one I served on a bed of noodles, which made it enough for two meals! I can see it being very versatile......with rice, on top of a baked potato, or even as an emergency pasta sauce with a tin of chopped tomatoes added! (Sorry, purists! 😀) It might not be the cheapest, but if it means I can enjoy a vegetarian meal with gusto, I don't mind! I'm pleased I discovered it, and will buy more for the freezer. Keep it up, Easy Bean! I will definitely try your other flavours!
