Easy Bean Mexican Mixed Bean & Red Pepper Chilli 320g
£4.35
£1.36 per 100gProduct information
Our inspiration comes from the state of New Mexico. We use a classic combination of Fairtrade red beans with sweet peppers and tomatoes, spiked with jalapeño chilli. Known to aficionados in that part of the world as "Bowl o' Red".
Red Beans
Originating from North America, they have a slightly sweetish flavour and a floury texture. Most often associated with Mexican cuisine, they are however used throughout the Americas and the Caribbean and also India, where they are known as rajma. Red beans are an excellent source of iron.

dull pot of spicy beans
Was hoping this would feel like a complete meal. No. There was no rice. The beans were spicy yes, but not a satisfying meal.
Delicious!
Lovely taste and very quick to make. I had it with a baked potato and some natural yogurt and it was delicious. It is expensive but the portion was big once I turned it out of the pot and for 3 of my 5 a day, Im very happy!
Perfect packed lunch
Only gripe is the price. It really is a perfect little meal. I say little: It's filling, 3 servings of veg, low calories, low fat. Tasty.
amazing but over priced
tastes amazing but it is very expensive as it's quite small
Tasty but too expensive for what it is
This gets 5 stars for flavour but 1 star for price, hence the 3 stars. If you can buy it in a flash sale, Id heartily recommend it. Its great with nachos or rice and will fill you up nicely. If its full price, skip over it and buy something else thats cheaper
Expensive
I enjoyed this for a quick lunch. Bit put off buying it again due to the price
