first time purchase
Love the concept of these little nuts and definitely hood for non stained clothing .. did struggle with the bag but on reading other reviews off to find a spare sock. Will purchase again
The greenest thing you can do
I have been using these for about 10 years. They are natural, can be used a few times, cheap to buy and do the job of cleaning your clothes. I do use a fabric softener (Ecover) to give the laundry a nice smell, might switch to essential oil as it takes up less room in the cupboard. I've never had a bag break.
Damaged bag.
Lots of people saying about the washer bag being no good after a couple of washes. Just thought I would let you know that a sock does the job just fine.
OK but not for stinky pits.
These are good for general laundry and clothes do come out clean. As another reviewer said, they do smell a bit odd when wet but once the clothes are dry (especially if line dried) then they are fine. However, theyre just not up to the challenge of my husbands sweaty underarms so some of his T-shirts still come out of the wash a bit stinky - although this is only if hes had an especially sweaty day. It doesnt seem to break down deodorant either so armpits on shirts do need a bit of pre treating which is kind of a pain. I mostly use these if the things Im washing are more for a freshen up rather than a proper clean.
great for delicatessen and low temps
I used to use these for my kids' washable nappies and now use them for my period pants - they are gentle and don't cause any irritation. they do smell a bit odd when wet but the clothes dry smelling absolutely fine. If the little bag breaks, as mine did long ago, I replaced it with the foot of an old pair of tights knotted at the top. works just as well.
Odd smell but fresh clothes
I found the smell awful to be honest but I added a fabric conditioner for a better fragrance. My clothes do feel incredibly fresh. Still trying to adjust to the change but when you know it’s good for you, it’s defo worth the try.
