History
Don Maximiano Errazuriz established Viña Errazuriz in 1870. Today, the tradition of quality lives on with his descendant Eduardo Chadwick, who follows the founder's Maxim 'From the best land, the best wine'.
Regional Information
Abundant sunshine and cool temperate winds from the Pacific combine to make Chile an ideal location for grape growing.
Vinification Details
The grapes were hand-picked in April and taken to the winery, where they were destemmed, crushed, and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Post-fermentation maceration lasted 10 to 25 days, depending on the development of each individual lot. The wine was aged in a barrels for approximately 8 months to round out the wine and add a sweet sensation to the palate.

Good but not all there
This is OK to good, slight whiff of steel, tiny bit thin but with some traces of the syrah burnt-treacle spiciness. Very young at 2012. Surprised it's their reserva as it tastes more like a straight table wine/stock bottle. No comparison with the classy Maycas Reserva, but that's double the price when this is on offer, around six smackers.

Excellent
One of my favourite red wines - lovely tasting and very smooth.
