Superb
Used these sardines in a pasta recipe including garlic, salad onions ,few chilli flakes and lots of lemon juice and parsley, delicious. Will certainly be purchasing again, highly recommended.
No tomato sauce!
Lovely plump sardines but no sauce to be found. I had to look at the box to see if they were meant to be plain ones. There were just a few random small bits of tomatoes peeking through. Misleading labeling.
High quality lots of fish
More fish than sauce, the tin is literally packed like sardines. The fish is plump and the sauce has a light consistency and a tangy flavour.
Massively overpriced
No idea why these are £3 for a tin when Coop sell a tin of pilchards for 65p. They tasted fine but just the price is completely out of line even compared to other brands on Ocado. Unable to recommend.
No sauce!
Normally get the parmentier sardines which have a lovely tomato sauce. There wasn't much in the way of sauce in these, just a light coating of red around the fish. The quality of the fish was fine though and good that they're sustainably fished, although I think most sardines tend to be
Really good wild sardines
Wild sardines - better than organic because not farmed.
