A smooth, juicy medium -bodied wine full of ripe blackberry, plum and subtle spice. Lingering, soft and balanced.
Fish Hoek is based on the simple philosophy of one single grape variety and the relaxed lifestyle of Cape Town.
Riebeek Cellars was founded in 1941 by descendants of the Huguenots who had originally settled in Franschoek. The cellar is a private co-operative with 1500 hectares under vine with 60% of fruit production graded as either premium or ultra premium. The winemaking for this Shiraz is overseen by Bruce Jack at Riebeek Cellars in Swartland. This cooler-climate region not far from Cape Town is 'up-and-coming' and home to many admired vineyards. The grapes for Fishhoek Shiraz were cold soaked overnight and fermented in stainless steel to retain fruit freshness before being aged in French oak barrels for 12 months for spice, complexity and texture. Recently awarded the title of Wine Personality of the Year at the Financial Mail Wine Business Awards, Bruce Jack is one of South Africa's biggest movers and shakers making distinctive, stylish wines.

Terrible
Probably the worst wine I've ever had, couldn't even get through a single glass. Rather disappointing as the Fish Hoek white is an ok table wine.

A nice wine with plenty of fruit and hardly any tanin. In fact I'm going to add a bottle onto the next shop right now...
