Good value chopped toms
Not found these to be watery or hard as other reviewers, have used 2 tins out of a 4 pack one for soup one for spag bol, gave nice tomato flavour didn’t seem watery nor were there any hard bits.
Perfect for slower cooking style
Ive been looking for something that improves as you cook it for ages and finally found it. A quality pomodoro needs at least 40-45 minutes of gentle warming to bring all the flavours together and this has enough liquid to be able to withstand it. The end result was glorious and Im very happy
good for purpose
usually use these for pasta and curry sauces. they are fine and good value for money.
Won't buy again even on offer
Watery with several large bits of skin and the hard bit from the middle of the tomato.
Average
Im still looking to find a substitute for the chopped tomatoes that I used to buy from the Essentials range, before Ocados switch from Waitrose to M&S products. Ive bought these twice, but dont think Ill go back. The flavour was ok, if perhaps a bit watery (but you can boil that down), but what bugged me were the large pieces of tomato skin in each tin. When I first bought I thought I might have had a bad batch, thats why I bought again, but it was the same with the next purchase. Alas, my search continues..!
very poor!
Slightly bitter, watery and pale. Avoid!
