Product information

The Bourgogne Pinot Noir has purple shades. Year after year, it becomes from ruby to oranged red. At the nose, red fruit flavours (cherry, blackberry, raspberry, blackcurrant) are combined with spicy notes. On the palate, tempered tannins express themselves and a nice suppleness persists.

An intense garnet hue, a very aromatic wine with blackcurrants ands others red fruits note, a lovely palate with moderate tannins and a nice persisting suppleness. Serve with warm pork meat, duck or mutton daube, and fine cheeses
History
Prestigious Burgundy estate, Maison Francois Martenot benefits of an excellent fame thanks to its strong know-how and its long history. Francois Martenot which is located in the heart of the Burgundy region exists since the 19th century, and was famous under the name of Clos de Vougeot, property of Leonce Bocquet. The most charismatic member of the family served for Napoleon.

don't understand the negative reviews. ok, it may not be the most complex wine, and it doesn't leave much lingering on the palate, but then sometimes there are times when it is perfectly acceptable for tings not to linger on the tongue. it has a blackberry ethanol nose, not many deep notes to taste, but enough to tempt you for that other glass(/bottle!)

Thin, weedy wine

Lacking in depth, this wine is acidic and flimsy. Bought it at half price, and it was still too expensive.

Lovely

Genuinely amazed at the negative reviews for this. We have been drinking it semi regularly for a while now and find it an exceptional bottle for the price and always well regarded by friends and family.
