Not the same?
Not sure if I am the only one. I understand not everyone likes bitter real ales, real beer. I happen to like a strong lager or real beer. Having drank Fullers Honey Dew for years, I can honestly and accurately review this. The taste seems off lately and I wasn't sure why. It seems much more mild and also far less honey taste as well. Why? I don't know but there does seem to be a change but then when this isn't announced by companies they rarely ever admit it. The price has also increased to 2.35 a bottle. When on offer the price is still more than the previous lower price. Previously the price was 1.60 per bottle when on offer, sometimes 1.80 though. I don't like the new taste. At first it reminded me of drinking soap water or dishwasher detergent residue that hadn't been properly washed off. It isn't the same at all. I am giving a generous 3 star review. I think I will try this again in a few years and every so often to see if anything has changed.
More like lager
We weren't keen on this one, it tastes more like a (good) lager to us. We won't be buying it again as we're a household of IPA and bitter lovers, but if you like lager or beer such as Stella then you might really enjoy this!
Not for me
I like trying a variety of sweet ales, but this isnt for me, not sure what it is but Ill pass next time.
passed the Hubby test
This is more of a beer than an ale. A lovely drink when you fancy a couple of good quality beers and not a session. Nice to have in the fridge for a hot day. Couldnt taste the honey mind but still delicious
Soo good!
The ale that doesn't taste like an ale. Ok, it does taste like an ale, but a really good version. This is very drinkable and you can taste honey. It's not overly sweet either and is definitely a beer (it isn't as strong as a mead).
The Best
This beer has a depth of flavor second to none. And I have tried a lot of beers. No bitterness and full of delicious delights. Lovely creamy head to it as well. I love it.
