rotten product
Disgusting, these are rotten chestnuts, which I find out are made in China so the packaging is misleading. I'd recommend normal chestnuts that are not so called organic!
The smell
I very rarely write reviews so the product has to be really bad or exceptional otherwise I have got what I expected when I paid for it. As a late lover of chestnuts I am wary but as soon as I opened the packet all I could smell was sulphur. I tried eating them holding my nose but it didnt work. I have taken them out of the packet and aired them before putting into a new container but I am not hopeful as they are quite sticky/slimy and soft. Will need to febreeze the area. Very disappointed.
Below average
Not worth it, these are very poor in taste and ok quality.
Yuk
This smell bad, like rotting cabbage and are soggy. I like the idea of eating them but in reality they are not nice. I was going to give them to my kids as a healthy snack. Ew!
I love these
great for adding to dishes or snacking strait from the packet.
good quality
I liked these chestnuts but thought they were rather expensive. Better flavour than merchant gourmet but still nowhere near fresh.
