Instructions
Watkins Anchovy Sauce can be added to enliven the taste of many fish sauces. Added to béchamel sauce or fish veloute it makes a superb anchovy sauce, finish the sauce by whisking in a liberal amount of butter and a little lemon juice and cayenne pepper.
With fishcakes or fish pie
A tablespoon of anchovy sauce added to the mixture turns a fish pie or fishcakes for four people into a special meal.
Anchovy butter
Soften 4oz (113g) of butter and well mix with two tablespoons of Anchovy Sauce. Form the butter into a roll, wrap the roll in greaseproof paper and twist up the ends to make it firm. Cool the butter in the fridge, unwrap it, slice it into rings and serve it on top of grilled or fried fish steaks.
Straight from the bottle
Try it straight with fried fish, with scrambled eggs on toast or on pizza, and don't forget to add a dash to the sauce when you next serve shrimp or prawn cocktails.

adequate
Not as sharp as anchovy but convenient dressing !
Dribble on Pizza
Perfect for giving Anchovy flavour on Pizza. Rather than opening a tin. Store in Fridge once opened. Will keep well but not forever. Not available everywhere so ta ever so to Ocado.
Salad Dressing
This stuff is fabulous for making a fake lower calorie Caesar salad dressing! A little goes a long way. I mix a bit of anchovy sauce with some fat free Greek yoghurt, extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic paste, dried herbs de Provence, and fresh ground pepper. Shake and refrigerate. Delicious!
I've been replaced
I keep catching my husband sneaking this out of the bottle. He said it scratches an anchovy itch he didn't know he had. You've got to worry for my marriage at this point cos I'm sure as hell not kissing him now.
Fabulous
Got this because I was curious and it’s incredible! I mix it with mayo, olive oil and lemon juice to make a sauce. I then toss crunchy salad and fresh cucumbers in the bowl and mix them. It’s incredible! Works great with baked salmon or boiled eggs. It’s now s staple in my house.
Fantastic product
Use sparingly, little by little
