The shrinking brisket
I have ordered this in the past and every time I received a brisket of at least 1.5kg. Now, if you notice, it says min weight 1kg. Ordered this 2 weeks ago and it was .88kg. Rushed to order another brisket and that was .90kg. We know it shrinks. If I hadn't ordered the second one, there would not have been enough to feed the 4 of us. Seriously, what does one do with brisket of .85kg that shrinks after cooking to about .50kg. For that I give it 2 stars. But the flavour of this company's brisket has been consistent for that 5 stars but the weight issue brings it down to 3 stars. Will buy again.
Rotten meat
When I Opened package it stank of rotten meat revolting AVOID
Great salt beef
Really good, reliable salt beef. Cook in pan of water, with onion, bayleaf, few peppercorns. Place pan lid on top of beef to keep it submerged and cook for about 4 hours very slowly. Delicious with buckingham rye bread.
Off ??
I was looking forwards to a nice salt beef sandwich, however upon opening the outer packaging there was an awful smell of rotting meat. I thought I would give it a chance as I had never ordered this before and decided to cook it anyway. That was a waste of time as the smell was even worse it has now gone straight in the bin leaving me with a house thats smells. I would avoid this product.
Rancid eggy smell
On opening the vacuum packaging, the product smelt terrible, not wanting to waste, cooked the beef according to instructions but still had a horrible smell and taste. Awful. Id give it 0 stars if possible.
Excellent beef
Easy to prepare and delicious to eat.
