Product information

A traditional salami from the Lombardy region whose origins date back to the Renaissance.
Milano is one of Italy's most renowned salamis.
The paste is made only from carefully selected pork cuts that are ground to a consistency resembling cooked rice then seasoned with salt,
coarsely-ground black pepper, fine-milled white pepper, wine and fresh garlic.
When sliced it's pale red, with a strong, well-balanced fragrance and a sweet, delicate flavour.
Best served at room temperature with a glass of a young red wine.
NO NITRATES AND NITRITES ADDED
Golfera is a family-ran business currently managed by its third generation. Golfera is located in Lavezzola, an old town of lower Romagna in the countryside near Bologna, Ferrara and Ravenna, where they have been producing premium-quality cured and cooked meats following traditional recipes for over 50 years.

Absolutely wonderful

Really delicious thin salami slices. Very moorish!

very porky

This tasted very porky which for me is VERY off putting! If you like that flavour then by all means buy this but if you dont then avoid this!

Not great

I dont as so excited by the positive reviews but this was so underwhelming. Quite a nasty after taste and by far the worst Milano salami Ive tried.

Irresistible and No Nitrates!

I am Milanese so perhaps a little biased, but to my mind Salame Milano is one of the best; this top quality Organic offering from Golfera is utterly delicious, it’s light, not too salty and never overly fatty. It’s traditionally cured, so no carcinogenic nitrates and a much better flavour, worth the price for that alone. One pack makes two lunches, in a panino with soft organic goat cheese, datterini toms on the side. I grew up eating this. It also disappears like lightning when served to guests on an antipasto platter. I particularly like that it’s as finely sliced as it should be. It is a perfect salami for all ages. It keeps for a long time, so I always stock up when it’s on offer. I do recommend trying this salame if you like authentic Italian food.

my go to salami

This is the only Salami I will buy, its tasty and has no nitrites, which is the stuff that causes bad health issues. great stuff! only wish it was more affordable though.

Underwhelming

I was expecting more, from all the positive reviews. But I found it very under-flavoured and the slices extremely thin. Maybe I'm just too used to German style salamis with a bit more punch but this just felt lacking to me. Wouldn't buy again.
