Product Description
Cacao is a tropical tree native to Central and South America. Its fruit is best known as the main ingredient in chocolate, though it is increasingly being consumed for its nutritional value as well as its taste.
Our Cacao is typically grown by local cooperatives. The green pods containing the Cacao beans are hand picked. The flesh surrounding the beans is then allowed to ferment away, a process that enhances the unique flavour of the bean. The beans are then broken into small pieces, known as nibs. Cacao nibs are high in Magnesium, which contributes to the maintenance of mental health.

Not to my liking
I have never had cacao nibs before and I didn't like them. They have a strong taste, like extremely bitter chocolate but without the nice chocolate texture. I associate the taste with something like whiskey (although that might just be in my head as I don't actually drink whiskey).

Super nice and great in overnight oats
I sprinkle these in my overnight oats. Super healthy and kills the craving for chocolates!

nice nibs!
these are the first cacao nibs that I've tried, thus I do not have a reference point. however, they seem of high quality and were delicious added to nut butter and banana overnight oats. I did try a couple straight from the packet and won't be doing that again as they were very bitter. but they complimented the flavours of banana and nut butter so well that I will be using them daily from now on.

Very expensive
I didn't realise the pack is half the size of the Natruya brand and therefore more expensive per 100g! Flavour disapointing compared to Natruya
