Preparation and Usage
This
product can be used on babies and children of all ages. How to apply this sun cream Formulated for peace of mind protection, we advise applying it approx. 30 minutes before sun exposure to allow for it to adequately sink into the skin. Apply to the face, body and limbs, taking care around the delicate eye areas. A blend of plant waxes and base oils provides some water repellence but to maintain protection, you should re-apply frequently and always after swimming. Our sun creams are tested at an application level of 2.0mg per cm² of skin. This equates to about 30g to cover the whole of an adult body. If less than this amount is applied, you will not be getting the protection level stated on the bottle. Try our soothing after sun for kids To soothe the skin after sun exposure, try our Organic Children Aloe Vera Lotion & After Sun which helps to lock moisture into the skin to keep it soft and supple. |

Perfect
This is a really great product but just remember it isn't the same as other sun creams. This one works by applying a layer of thick cream over the skin to prevent sun damage. It rubs in of course but it is a lot thicker than regular creams. But it is non toxic and won't irritate even the most sensitive of skin. It can discolour clothes when you put it on eg, around the t shirt line where your top meets your skin, but I find it always comes off fine in the wash. It's often on offer which is just as well as it's pricey but for half price or thereabouts, it's a fantastic product.
leaves orange marks on clothes
On the plus side my 4 year old likes this because it doesn't sting her eyes but she looks like she's been covered in false tan. It is a dark tan / orange colour. She comes home from nursery looking like some strange beauty pageant child and her white school shirts are also covered in orange. I'll have to try another brand. Shame.
natural and non\-staining
It hasn't been tested by high summer yet but so far, so excellent. Lots lighter and easier to apply than other mineral sunscreens I've tried, non-staining on white school shirts, and with the barest of v pleasant, holiday-ish scents.
I want to love this but... No
I like that it's non-greasy, you can easily see where you're applying it and I don't mind the consistency but it's turned my palms orange after one use. For a few minutes I thought I'd bought the wrong item and applied fake tan to my son! If it wasn't for the palm staining it'd get five stars.

Seems to have changed....
I have been buying this for years, and its always worked really well. However, apart from the extortionate price it has now gone up to, the formula seems to have changed. What used to be a white cream has now become a light beige colour, and unfortunately for the first time ever, I had a some burning despite slathering it on liberally. I don't feel that I can trust this now sadly, and will have to look for an alternative. I would be interested to see if anyone else has noticed this change.
Review response
Supplier response - Thank you for your review. Due to the high level of plant derived ingredients and the complex nature of the UV filters used in our sun creams, they are prone to colour change during storage. This is entirely normal and whilst they are a creamy-white colour when first manufactured, they can develop a darker, tan shade over time. The rate at which this colour change takes place can be influenced by storage conditions, with warmer temperatures accelerating the process. This change in colour does not affect the UV protection offered by the sun creams. If you have any future issues with any of our products, please contact organic@greenpeople.co.uk
think but really good
One of my favourite sunscreens for the kids and I also use it on my face. Great product that works well for my family.
