Nice Guinness but not quite the same as the pub

This seems to taste less strong than the pub version, but it was still quite nice. It was quite fizzy with a good head.

Recycling nightmare (plastic)

The beer is fine but how recyclable are these cans? Each contains a hard plastic ball. I cannot see people tearing open the side of the can to separate it, can you? I did but what a pain and you are left with sharp edges. The plastic ball is presumably single-use – it is not marked with any recycling symbols. I would NOT buy this again.

As good as the adverts used to be

Smooth and creamy, a gentle stout. Works well for a session ale of sorts. Pairs well with roasts. A reliable old favourite that I often revisit when the leaves start turning outside.
