Harvey Nichols South African Chenin Blanc 75cl
£13.50
£13.50 per 75clProduct information
High altitude, cooling ocean breezes off the Atlantic and vines hit by the first morning sun of the Cape make this perfect Chenin Blanc an aromatic Rainbow Nation marvel. Succulent and silky, it’s really lekker as an aperitif, with something spicy or with simple grilled fish.
The Harvey Nichols Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc is made exclusively for us by DeMorgenzon, whose name is literally translated as ‘the morning sun’. Their vineyards are full of wildflowers, giving the estate more the feel of botanic garden than a working farm. DeMorgenzon also play baroque and early classical music to their growing vines, as they enjoy it themselves and numerous studies have suggested that it can help fruit production and root growth. Their super talented new winemaker Adam Mason brings bags of experience to the team, including an eight-year stint making the legendary Vin de Constance at Klein Constantia, and a short spell at Mulderbosch Vineyards. This is a standout winery whose carefully orchestrated wines make sweet music in the glass.
Naturally fermented with wild yeasts in a combination of stainless steel and just a little French oak, this juicy white wine reveals floral notes together with subtle aromas of green apple and white peach, leading to a satin-textured palate of ripe stone fruits with hints of acacia honey.

very good but expensive
I received this in exchange for a review. One of the nicest white wines I've had for a while, very fresh. I would buy again when it's on offer.
Nice Wine
This is a very nice wine that I had to review but I agree with the other reviews that it is not worth the price of £12.50.
Very drinkable
I was sent this wine to review but probably wouldnt have bought it otherwise due to the price. It was a lovely light, dry wine that went very well with our meal of sea bass and salad. I might buy it again if it is on offer but not at its current full price.
nice refreshing dry wine but a bit pricey
Lovely refreshing and beautifully dry. A bit pricey though.
Very nice and refreshing.
I am a lover of dry white wine and was sent this to review my Ocado. I was very impressed with the taste and served chilled, very refreshing white wine.

Really lovely wine to review. In fact I shared it with friends on my birthday. We all enjoyed it very much, all the reviews were the same. Very fresh and fruity, and a lovely wine to drink with friends on a warm summer night. Will certainly buy again.
