Aged to perfection and deliciously smooth, Havana Club Añejo Especial is an amber-coloured rum with notes of vanilla. To produce such a special rum, our Maestros del Ron Cubano take their time and age it twice. Our rum's aromatic intensity comes from the old oak barrels it first rests in and it owes its striking smoothness to a second maturation in younger ex-whiskey casks. This gives the rum a light sweetness with vanilla notes, as well as hints of cinnamon, tobacco, zesty orange, and dry oak. Fully-rounded and perfectly balanced, this aged Cuban rum is the ideal partner of premium cola for the ultimate Cuba Libre taste experience.

Preparation and Usage
Why not try making a Cuba Libre - simply delicious! Not to be confused with a basic rum and cola, the authentic Cuba Libre needs a generous squeeze of lime to even out the drink's sweetness. Double aged Havana Club Especial with its hints of vanilla and caramel takes this simple, sociable cocktail to the next level.
Ingredients:
50ml Havana Club Especial
100ml Cola
1 Large Lime Wedge
3 Ice Cubes
How to mix: Fill a highball glass with ice cubes and pour in the Havana Club Especial. Top up with no more than 100ml of cola. Squeeze the juice of a lime wedge into the glass, garnish with another lime wedge and…salud!

A national cocktail from Cuba the Cuba Libre. It takes its name from the battle call of the Cuban independence wars.
In a tall glass, pour 5 cl of "Anejo Especial" and a few drops of lime juice. Add 2 or 3 ice cubes. Top with fresh cola and garnish with a slice of lemon.

Doubt I would have bought this if it weren't for so many positive comments, so adding my own review - love it, it goes particularly nicely with Coca-Cola, a more interesting drink than other spiced rums I've tried

Simply the best golden rum out there
For years I drank dark rums mixed with coke. Over time I came to prefer golden rums which can be used as a mixer, or sipped on their own. This is simply the best golden rum out there,
