Carrots have no place in Pea & Ham soup!
I counted no fewer than 15 pieces of carrot ranging from 1m square to several pieces approaching 12mm x 5mm in size. Far too much of a cheap addition to bulk up the solid contents. That said, the amount of ham was substantially more than competing soups, as was the volume of peas, which earned it another star. Nevertheless, as I have an intolerance to carrot in quantity, the remaining tins are going to my local Food Bank.

This is an easy storecupboard staple. Tasty and easy and this is very cheap. Makes a nice lunch.

‘I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. We don't normally do Heinz soups but this was surprisingly good. Not gloopy, peas, split peas and chunks of carrot were well defined. There was a pleasant ham flavour - though not much visible ham. A good quick meal with some crusty bread. Very good value. I'd buy it again.
