Disappointing where is the marzipan?
dry and not sure if I got a dodgy pack as could not find a single piece of marzipan. I've found own-brand hcbs to be way better. disappointing!

All right but......
Marzipan was not obvious. Plenty of fruit and texture OK but they didn't seem to be spicy which I expect from Hot Cross Buns.

Amazing!
I absolutely love these hot cross buns. For me the best thing about them is the texture. I would describe it as cakey. I can see why some people may find them a little dry, but when toasted and topped with margarine and plenty of syrup they are, in my opinion, the best hot cross buns ever.

Neither that nor the other
Perhaps it’s tough to try a hot cross bun which wants to be a simnel bun, the result here was dryish inside , it missed the lovely spices from a good hot cross bun ,while the marzipan was only a tiny bit smellable but not tastable. Might be a nice , dry raisin bun for someone, who actually doesn’t like hot cross buns and neither simnel cakes, for others like me it’s a disappointment. Not again .
