Why change the recipe?
This used to be a staple on our shop was so pleased to see it back... luckily I checked if anything had changed... now includes lentils which we have an allergy to in the house. perhaps it should be highlighted as a new recipe?
Better than expected
A little bit skimpy on filling, but nicely flavoured and good pastry. A bit of a naughty treat, but I'd buy it again.
Yuk!!
This pie had 1 tiny slice of mushroom, couldnt find any bacon and it tasted vile. After one bite it went in the bin.
Hubby enjoyed it
Hubby enjoyed it and told me that I can definitely get it again! Deep filled with no gristle or chewy bits, a winner
New Recipe bulked out
This Pie used to be lovely but the new recipe has been bulked out with lentils and you cannot taste any red wine anymore . Cost saves gone crazy yet the price isnt cheapIll be buying alternatives
For a bought pie, better than most.
Generous size pie with a decent amount of filling. Beware that the pie top is fairly well browned before it reaches the oven so I had to cover it as it was becoming a bit burnt. All in all, a tasty pie for a quick meal.
