Jamie Oliver White Condiment 250ml
£4
£1.60 per 100mlProduct information
This beautiful white condiment is a bit more subtle than normal balsamic, which makes it perfect for lighter salad dressing. But it's also great drizzled on white fish, served with crusty bread and crudités, and fab for dipping little deep-fried spring rolls.

Yuck!
Too sweet, tastes like pudding on your salad. 34g of sugar per 100ml.

Inferior
It may be half the price, but it simply isn't up to scratch. Rather acrid, almost like cheap wine vinegar with a splash of grape juice in it. A false economy.

Terrible
Far too acidic, not at all sweet, and smells like silicone sealant. On a positive note, it is easy to dispose of.

Basically expensive (acidic) vinegar
I thought this might be an alternative for white balsamic. I was wrong. It's all acid and no real sweetness. It'll do for things where I want something acid but, sadly, isn't really what I want, so won't be buying again. (And for ordinary vinegar, it's a bit expensive.)
