Good when you get the mix right
I wasn't sure when I read the reviews but I love Rhubarb & Ginger gin so bought when on offer. A bit of trial & error but this tasted lovely when I got the right mix. 3 parts liqueur, 5 parts slim-line tonic & lots of ice (stir or shake). Will buy again when on offer or as a treat
really does taste like calpol
I like flavoured gin and i love sweet cocktails, so I thought this would be a perfect match but its really not! It genuinely taste artificial, like medicine, pretty much like calpol. Really regret buying a bottle.
Lovely Gin
My Husband bought me this for Christmas and I have bought 2 more bottles. I normally drink Rhubarb and Ginger Edinburgh Gin But this is as nice especially mixed with Fentimens pink rhubarb tonic 😋
Lovely!
Lovely taste, would highly recommend
this is a great gin but you have to serve it right
Gin is a speciality but every one thinks they are an expect suddenly. My sister runs a gin speciality pub and she rates this. We recently served at a gin tasting event with cured mackerel and rhubarb and ginger tartlets and it was a massive winner.
Synthetic, medicinal taste and lurid colour
I usually buy Warner Edwards rhubarb gin, but I saw that Jawbox had launched their own, and on the basis that I like Jawboxs regular gin and it was a lot less expensive than Warner Edwards, I thought Id give it a go. I wish I hadnt. The flavour is intensely synthetic and excessively sweet, it reminds me of flavours companies put in liquid medicines to mask the flavour of the medicine itself. The colour also appears very artificial, it looks just like Calpol which is hardly appetising. Will not buy again.
