Preparation and Usage
Ensure pastry is thoroughly defrosted before use. There are two pastry sheets in this pack. Defrost each sheet as required.
1. Thaw at room temperature: remove the ready rolled sheet(s) from the carton and outer plastic film and leave for 2 1/2 hours. Alternatively thaw overnight in your fridge: remove from packaging and stand at room temperature for at least 10-15 minutes. For best results use immediately.
2. Unrolled the pastry sheet. If your pastry starts to crack on unrolling it is still too cold and should be left to defrost longer.
3. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (200°C for fan assisted ovens)/Gas Mark 7, or at the temperature required in your recipe.

Recipes
Ingredients
1 x 320g Jus-Rol Puff Pastry Sheet
350g pork sausage meat
1 small apple, cored and chopped
1 small red onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp sage chopped
2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
1 egg beaten
Method
1 Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C in a fan oven) / Gas mark 7.
2 Mix the sausage meat, apple, onion and sage together in a bowl. Stir until well mixed.
3 Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut in half down the long side. Place one of the halves of pastry with the long side at the top. Brush one half with 1 tbsp of Hoisin sauce to within 1 cm of the bottom of the long side.
4 Divide the sausage meat mixture in half. Place one half of the sausage meat along the centre of the top side of the pastry in a sausage shape. Bring the top pastry edge back down over the filling and roll up firmly.
5 Brush the bottom edge with the beaten egg, seal the edge underneath the roll.
6 Cut into 4 even lengths and make 3 cuts across the top surface of each roll with a knife.
7 Place apart on the baking tray. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make another 4 sausage rolls.
8 Brush with the beaten egg and bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Plenty of puff!
Results were exactly as I hoped. A lovely puff. I defrosted mine at room temp for 45 mins longer than the instructions and found the pastry to be just ready to unroll.
Perfect
This is great to have in the freezer for anytime you fancy. Defrosts quickly and cooks really well. Lovely pastry.
Always works
I have used this very convenient product to make many easy dishes including a variety of sweet pastries, croissants, corned beef pasties, sausage rolls, pies and puff pastry pizzas. Defrosts in just a couple of hours and everything comes out just perfect. Good to have in the freezer to make an easy generous meal out of anything you may have in the fridge.
Fab for quick, convenient cooking.
Always keep in freezer, quick to grab a roll, defrost and then make homemade marmite & cheese dinkies or any other lunchbox snacks! Love this product for convenience.
good
great to keep in the freezer for when you need it, made pies sausage rolls and cheese twists and always come out great
Would recommend
This was my first time using frozen as the fridge version was sold out. Got it out a few hours prior to defrost and it did the same job.
