the best!
I always use these when making roast beef. Dissolve them first in a small amount of boiling water before adding to a pan with the meat juices and extra water. Very flavourful
Back to the drawing board!
These are great for casseroles etc, but they take SO long to break down. I left mine in boiling water for half an hour, and there were STILL huge lumps in it. Needs more work.
Never Dissolve
So hard to dissolve and always end up with lumps
Tasty gravy
I really dont understand some of the negative reviews on this product. I find this gravy tasty, better than any other ready gravies Ive tried anyway. Perhaps these people arent preparing it correctly? I use slightly cooled boiled water to dissolve the jelly - it requires a lot of stirring! I also use less than the suggested amount of water to begin with because I like to control the thickness and also add in some beef juices for enhanced flavour. I stick it in the microwave for 30-40s blasts while stirring between each blast and it takes 5-6 goes before it starts to thicken. The pack suggests boiling on the hob, but I prefer to do it in the microwave. Turns out great for me every time.

Thin and bland Ok if you had no other option
Thin and bland
I ordered these as a way to experiment with making easy gravy. These pots just felt like having beef stock poured over my roast. I will say though, if you make a roux first and use the 'gravy' pot and water, it improves the taste dramatically.
