Hints of spring flowers with a touch of toast and honey. This is followed by strong fruit and balancing citrus flavours.
If there is one Non-Vintage Brut Champagne that is universally appreciated, it is surely Lanson Black Label, a great classic with a fresh and elegant style.
With a history dating back to 1760 Champagne Lanson is the third oldest house in Champagne and was awarded the Royal Warrant in 1860 by Queen Victoria. Champagne is an historic province in the northeast of France, best known for the production of the sparkling white wine that bears the region's name. Lanson are of the few producers to prevent malolactic fermentation, keeping their wines crisp and refreshing. The wine then has extended ageing in the historical wine cellars to mature and soften.

Nice Gift Box
This was nicely presented in a gift box, its just such a shame like everyone says that Lanson have removed the bottle coolers from these special editions. However I managed to obtain one of these from a well known online auction site where there are plenty to choose from 😉

I was cheated !
Arrived without the jacket sleeve that makes it a limited edition. Just a plain bottle in the box. I feel very cheated as all previous reviews rave about the special presentation and the cute cooler.
A lovely treat
I dont usually like Champagne. But this has converted me! It wasnt too dry, tasted lovely, and was very crisp and clean. Also no sticky aftertaste on the tongue. The Wimbledon T shirt bottle cooler zips up at the back with a miniature tennis ball. It is very well made and can be used again.
Great for gifting
The presentation of this was perfect for a gift during Wimbledon season. The cooling jacket is very cute with a suede type texture to mimic green grass and the little zipper is pulled by a mini tennis ball. Lanson is a lovely all rounder among champagnes and on offer reduced by A£10 I'm very happy with this.
