History
Created in 1962 in Podensac, a small village south of Bordeaux, by Maison Lillet using methods passed down since the 19th century. Resulting from traditional preparation methods and ancestral savoir-faire, Lillet Rouge is the perfect low ABV drink for the aperitif moment.
Regional Information
Produced since 1872 in Podensac, a small picturesque village South of Bordeaux, where a dedicated team of fewer than 10 people take care of the ‘Maison Lillet' distillery.

Vinification Details
A blend of carefully selected wines (Merlot and Cabernot Sauvignon) and fruit and Quinquina infusions, matured in French oak barrels for several months, allowing its aromas to mellow and its characteristic taste to mature.

Refreshing, and not over\-sweet.

I love all the Lillet varieties, but the Rouge is less easy to find in the UK so great to see it here. It's a lovely aperitif with tonic and a slice of orange, or it can also be enjoyed on its own with ice - a little like a red vermouth, but not herbaceous. Will be buying again.

A delightful drink

This is absolutely delicious mixed with tonic. I hate sickly sweet drinks this is not too sweet and is so refreshing. Im so pleased I took a chance on it. Ive bought the white and rosė version to try now.

This reminded me of sangria when mixed with tonic water and fruit. Not too overpowering amd slightly sweet. Bring the holiday mood to your living room.

Lovely French vermouth

Very nice served cold and you can really sense the merlot and red berries it’s made with as well as orange and vanilla.

Delicious, fruity wine

Refreshing, fruity and easy to drink. It's nice to have a sweeter wine for a change. We drank it with tonic water and a slice of orange as recommended. I thought it tasted a bit like Sangria.
