used to love these
these used to be our favourite now are small and dry and horrible,
Avoid if you value your teeth
I used to like these vegan sausages a lot. They don't taste of fat (lots of vegan sausages add a lot of oil with a fake sausage taste, and I HATE that). BUT, they have completely changed the recipe and now they are just AWFUL. They are much smaller than they were before, but are the same price. When they're cooked they are as hard as rock. Mine went straight into the bin as I value my teeth. Avoid!
rubber texture
I love the standard veg sausages by Linda McCartney but these are particularly rubbery. I dont like the flavour either. Flavour and texture just dont work. Ill stick to the usual plain Linda sausages in the future.
Low\-fat option, slightly small, pleasant flavour
Upfront, these sausages are not as tasty or as juicy as some on the market (the "This Isn't Pork") brand are particularly good. However, compared to almost every other brand, these are very, very low in fat making them a much healthier option if you're watching your weight. The fact that they're not packed with fat does make them slightly less moist (as per the reviewers complaining that they are dry) - well, not packing things with fat does tend to do that. As to whether thats a compromise you're willing to make depends on your priorities. As for flavour, I found these very good, the rosemary is perfectly balanced. Again, things with high fat just taste better (hence why our brains are addicted to high-fat, high-sugar foods) - but these do an admirable job at flavour given how healthy they are. Final note - they're fairly small, so bear in mind you maybe need to budget for 3 of these for each 2 sausages you might have used from other brands.
Stale old socks
I love their standard sausages and these have been a nice change in the past but for some reason these were awful.
Still a favourite after many years
There are so many options now for veggie sausages but when you look at the ingredients list on many other ranges, I'm left wondering why? These are simple soy based sausages and plant based, great in casseroles but fried first for a bit of colour or simply as bangers and mash, or our favourite, with lentils for a one pot dish with lots of veg. Recently paired them with slices of apple and onion as they bake and they are delicious
