Somebody\x27s telling porkies.
These "Tender Perfectly Ripened" mangoes are neither tender nor perfectly ripened. Hardness wise they have more in common with a cannon ball. They have absolutely no give in them whatsoever. Regarding ripeness they should still be on the tree. Not recommended.
Usually bruised and poor taste
I’ve had to order these a handful of times now as substitutions for the M&S mangoes. These are always bruised so I have to cut large chunks out, have a poor texture as quite dry, and also don’t taste particularly sweet either. Personally think no mangoes is better than these ones.
Flavourless
Very disappointed, absolutely no flavour and a very pale yellow colour. We're ripe (in terms of texture + skin colour), but wouldn't reccomend.
Not ripe, tasteless, hard
These were substituted several times for the Ocado brand. They were truly awful. More akin to a turnip than a mango
Better of as crunchy salad
Bought them expecting soft yellow mango, after a week or so sitting in the fridge, finally cut them open, well, one of them, the other one still sitting in the fridge. I found it was light green and crunchy mango type, Id imagine more suitable for a Thai salad. Will not buy again.
Not quite ripe & ready
These were lovely but they were not ready or ripe until a week after I actually needed them, so dont plan to use them straightaway.. which was a shame for me because I needed them to ripe & ready when they were delivered!
