Won’t be buying again
I will not buy sugar made from British sugar beet any longer,, sadly growers are using a previously banned pesticide after lobbying govt, which is lethal to bees, this is a serious mistake with many ecological consequences & will impact humans, all for more money for a few. I love buying local but won’t be doing so for sugar now. We need bees, they only listen to £
As Fine as Castor Sugar
I have been buying this for a few years now but lately its getting more expensive and is now as fine as castor sugar
wrong amount
I ordered 2x 2kg of granulated sugar to make marmalade as Ocado did not have preserving sugar (why not? too many people making marmalade?) They substituted 2 separate 1kg bags for an order of 4kg - if their computers cannot make better decisions perhaps they should ask humans to check the orders.
Local sugar
Love that this sugar is made a few mile from me. Shame more people do not realise the sugar beat is grown within 30 miles of the factorys then processed here in the UK. My dad made sugar for 30 years so I always buy sugar made from Beets.
Excellent sugar
It's granulated sugar. Not a lot else to say!
Locally grown sugar is better for the planet
Happy to see that M&S has begun to sell British-made granulated and caster sugar, made from sugar beets, which until recently was only available through the Silver Spoon brand. Beet sugar is the dominant form of sugar across Europe, and it has exactly the same sweetness as that made from sugar canes, as both are sucrose. The main advantage of beet sugar is that it is locally made, in the UK or Europe, instead of being imported from the Caribbean or elsewhere.
