Gloopy and poor flavour
It's just so gloopy in a forced, unnatural way. this one lacks the flavour punch to overcome the consistency and mouth feel. As hot sauces go, it's not particularly spicy, at least to my palette. The cranberries add little. Try their other sauces for more worthwhile styles.
OK BUT NOT HOT
Nice flavour but there is no chilli kick at all, best for people that do not eat spicy food
HOT HOT HOT !
I usually dont mind some heat but this needs a bit of a warning maybe I got an off bottle. I was looking forward to this sauce but I tried it with scrabbled eggs and it nearly burnt my mouth and I couldnt taste the eggs at all. I think it maybe okay to use a little in a stir fry or in a marinade but otherwise as a sauce it is too overpowering . After drinking tea and eating my mouth is still on fire !!!!
big disappointment
I was given this to review and really wanted to like it- its manufactured by a small British company working hard to build its brand - but i just couldnt. The sauce has a great consistency and colour and looks attractive but the flavour was a huge disappointment. Despite fruitiness from the cranberries the peppery heat was too sharp and tart (not necessarily too hot) and tastes as though it needed to be reblended. It stuck out like a sore thumb. Such a shame.
Fragrant flavour sauce
I tried it on salmon fillets with chili flakes sprinkled on top and baked them. It was really nice, with the combination of sweet and chili.
Unusual, spicy with a fruity, chilli warmth.
I was interested to try, when asked by Ocado, as the fruit + chilli combination was new to me. We tried it as a dipping sauce for Gyoza, success! Surprisingly, it also went well with a simply grilled salmon steak, with rice it complemented rather than overpowered the fish. Worth trying.
