Tasting Notes
Our wine Master balance a unique blend of aromatic grapes, including Moscato and Ancellotta, for a Spumante.
History
For over 150 years MARTINI has been passionate about crafting quality wine. Setting new standards, creating new styles of sparkling wines like rosé & demi-sec makes MARTINI one of the pioneers in the story of Italian wine production. Today MARTINI Spumanti embody a wine making heritage that is handed down from generation to generation.
Regional Information
The growing areas for Rose (predominantly Piedmont and Veneto-Friuli) are difficult areas in which to grow vines. High on the hillsides the vineyards are small, steep and labour intensive. But their unique climate is perfect for the aromatic freshness we need.
Machines can not easily operate here and harvesting is nearly always by hand.

Vinification Details
In 1895, Federico Martinotti, invented a new method to create Spumante. By creating the secondary fermentation in a closed and sealed vat he found a way not only to make wines of consistently high quality, but also a way to do it more quickly in order to preserve the natural freshness of the grapes. The process is now: grapes to fermentation, secondary fermentation to bottle.

Nice but much cheaper in other supermarkets!

I like this fruity and I don’t think it’s too sweet. But I can get it for £6 elsewhere!

Refreshing & easy to drink

Very nice product, slightly too sweet for my liking but they also have an extra dry which I will try instead.

Too sweet

I wouldn't serve this with a meal. I would serve it very chilled and then only to people who have a very sweet tooth. I would then pour myself a nice Chablis.

Not a fan

Refreshing on a hot summers day, if served very cold. Even then, it tastes cheap. At room temperature, its undrinkable.

Way too sweet!

Afraid to say, this was absolutely revolting. Tasted like a very sweet sparkling strawberry Ribena. Took it with me to a friends party, and none of them could stomach it either.

A lovely celebratory drink!

It makes a change from Prosecco! Served really chilled, it's a lovely, refreshing drink. Perhaps a little sweeter than some sparkling wines, but does not deter from the taste. A winner, albeit a little pricey.
