Preparation and Usage
For best results, gently fry 100g of giant couscous in olive oil for 2-3 mins, until golden. Add 200ml of cold water to the pan and stir until it's all absorbed. Gradually add more water, until the couscous is soft and ready to serve (around 16 mins). In a rush? Empty the couscous into a pan of boiling stock. Simmer for 6-8 mins, drain and serve.
Get creative
For an alternative risotto: cook the giant couscous in stock with some seasonal green veg. Stir in a dollop of pesto and top with grated parmesan. You can also infuse this couscous with fresh thyme and lemon for a delicious side dish, or use it as a base for a speedy salad.
Instructions
For a quicker method, empty the Couscous into a pan of boiling stock. Simmer for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain using a sieve and serve. This method is great for using in salads or when you are short of time.

Not nice
I've had giant couscous with a popular pre-prepared food delivery service and it was lovely, so I thought I'd buy some. Usually I would opt for wholewheat over white, but this was genuinely inedible. It was really stodgy and had no flavour even when mixed with mediterranean veg. I never throw food away, but sadly this did end up in the bin.
Lovely giant cous cous!
This is becoming a weekly buy for me. Love the texture and flavour - it's great with some roast vegetables and chickpeas!
My favourite giant couscous!
Ive tried a few brands and this one is my favourite, the only one that doesnt taste like cardboard to me! Easy to prepare and great in salads or as a side dish.
My toddler loves them
It's so hard to find something new that he loves and yet he loves these! Nice and fluffy, good taste
Unpleasant: tastes and smells like chemicals
Followed a Diana Henry recipe to the letter, using this product. I had to throw it away: nobody in my family would eat it (unheard of!). I also tried the couscous without flavouring it, to see if it was down to the other ingredients or the base product. It was the couscous. Very odd!
easy to cook
This is easy to cook and an idea quantity for two if the cous cous forms the main part of the meal. Makes a quirky, healthy and quick dish
